No, I had some maintenance done on the G4 a few months ago, and had 3.0 uninstalled at that time. The icon for 3.0 in the dock was left over, so I didn’t think it would matter if I deleted it, but I’m thinking now that this might be the problem. I can’t bring it back into the dock because 3.0 isn’t in the harddrive anymore.

Hi Russ,
Sorry to say the restart didn’t do the trick. Do you think it matters if both the 3.0 and the 4.5 Preferences and the two different caches are removed? I did take them all out.

Hi, I tried moving FCP 3.0 Prefs, FCP 4.5 Prefs, FCP POA Cache, and FCP MOA cache to the desktop, but the problem remains: “Application has unexpectedly quit” notice pops up.
