Thanks for the follow-up. The inspector shows that the aspect is 1440X1080. I just loaded in some 4.2.2. green screen material from the same card and the aspect is fine, 1920×1080. However, it now takes considerably more time to load in compared to previous FCPX updates…

Hi Oliver

The first clip is in it’s entirety. It’s then followed by three 5:16 length clips and one 47 sec clip. When those are put back to back, they’re seamless. I also noticed all of the shorter clips are doubled at import (1801 followed by 180101 for instance). In the inspector, the full clip is labeled as Canon XF 50Mbps… The duplicate series of clips are Linear PCM, XDCAM HD422…. Weird/Frustrating

Thanks Mark. Still no go. Based on input from Gary, it seems like I can’t input a 1080i signal through the component (analog) input with FCP.

AJA control panel is telling me that I’m getting a 1080i 29.97 signal.

“Did you choose the analog capture settings in the IoHD control panel? —this CANNOT be done in FCP!”

So it seems like I’d need a scan converter that outputs 1080i through an SDI or HDMI connection? Perhaps I’ll post a message on the cow to get model recommendations…
