Dan, thanks for the input. It’s not all doom and gloom. The camera (and HVX200a) is fine. There was just a little salt-water spray mixed with sweat; a very humid day on a Florida beach. Thanks again.

So I just checked out Episode. Pretty pricey. I already have Compressor. Can I use that instead?

Many thanks to you all! In the future I will endeavor to be more specific r.e. codecs, settings etc. but this is a good place to start. I will look into Episode. In the meantime, just exporting it as a QT movie seems to be working out a whole lot more quickly although it looks like it will take @8hrs. Hey, that’s better than 2 days!

Yes, I think I mentioned that I did do the disk utility permissions on both my hard drives but that I did not ZAP anything ’cause I can’t find how to do that.Thank you!

Last question – I hate to suck our brain – but while I was able to do the permissions thing I have no idea how to zap the PRAM.
If you can give me a step by step, I’d greatly appreciate it.
However, I just went through the steps to make a copy of a DVD, the same one I authored in DVDSP, and when I go to burn a blank disc, it’s getting kicked out and I’m getting an error message just like before.Thank you!
