Thanks, the 4 views is a good idea.
I hate to admit this but what magically made it work was that I hit the ‘draft’ button. I didn’t realize that’s what I did to fix it until later.
Once I did that, it has been smooth sailing. (doh!)

Okay this is weird. I simply walked away from the computer for a minute. When I came back I tried to move my comps and everyone of them moved.

Maybe my computer was being really slow or something. I swear I didn’t do anything and now it works the way it should.

Regardless, thanks for helping me. I’m sure I’ll be back with more questions soon : )

Ahh, still won’t budge. I checked all three comps and each one starts at frame 0. None of them are longer than the time set in the main comp. (3 min Main comp, comp 1 – 1 min, comp 2 – 1 min, comp 3 30 secs.)

I checked every layer in every comp and none are locked up. I can see an icon and 4 faded vertical lines when I grab it in the center of any of the comps. It just won’t move. I just created a new main comp but none of my layers want to move.

Sorry to ask for more help, but…Help!! (please)

Thanks for your help. I was not previewing with the pixel aspect ratio correction on in AE. So I turned it on and there was my squashed image. I changed my solids pix asp ratios to ‘square’. Looked correct.

I exported and imported into FCP. The same squashed thing is still going on in FCP.
The only way I have been able to make any of this look right is to place ALL my animation into a sequence FIRST then change the settings to square. Then everything looks right.

This can’t be the right way to achieve this. If I add the mov again from the bin (even though it is the same mov) it will be squashed again. (right next to the same mov that is correct)

I guess I need to know what the settings are in AE to set up a comp, export and FCP sequence settings to simply make a DVD. I’m just not getting the settings.

Any more help would be greatly appreciated.
