okay thanks that makes sense. so I guess then the same file wouldn’t do that on a television. I’ll have to check that out.

  • I recently found a store that ordered me one from Lacie. (12x Lacie d2 Blu Ray USB2 and FW) It was about $500 so not very cheap. It’s external and works well. It took 45 minutes only to burn a 45 minutes disc. From my experience they are very hard to find for macs. When I called the apple store they made me feel like I was asking them if they sold drugs! lol They definitely were not encouraging blu ray burning!

Hi, you might want to post this somewhere else too because I think you know way more about encore then I do.. so I have no idea how to solve your problem! Deadline today… that sucks I know what thats like. I was lucky to be able to push my deadline till Monday. Today I need to go buy a blu ray player because on Mac blu ray burners don’t play blu rays…. fancy that! So I can’t even check if it works!

    Good luck!

    oh one more thing:

what’s super frustrating is that the camera I used (Canon T1I) is not on the list. I cannot add it because the “a” key doesn’t work on my computer and I always copy and paste “a’s” when I type. though it doesn’t allow you to copy and paste in the text box where I’m supposed to type in “Canon”. If my footage was shot in 30fps is there another camera preset there like the 7D I could use instead?

Hey thanks so I’ve downloaded it and I’m using it. It works decent but there’s a lot of things I feel I need to know to improve the results. I’ve read the help manual but I’m still wondering about a few things.

How do I decide when to use stabilize only, shutter reduction only, or both? I still find a lot of the shots equally wobbly then they were before. Some are better but some not so.

Do you have any suggestions for getting the best results from this filter?

    Thanks

Wow that worked perfectly! Thank-you so much. What worked was importing it as a menu rather then an asset. Between trying to even buy a blu-ray for mac (took 2 weeks to find!) and getting encore to cooperate have been super frustrating.

What’s your opinion on Encore seeing as you know it well? Is it actually decent?

  • hey thanks for responding…. it since has loaded. I did exactly that left and came back later.

I have a new question though which I have been trying to find an answer to for like 10 hrs….

    QUESTION:
The still I import for the menu is 1920 x 1080 a really nice crisp image. Upon importing it appears 4 times too big. It seems as though the menu box is set for 720 x 480 instead of the above settings? I don’t understand why since my project settings are 1920 x 1080. Nonetheless, I reduced the image instead by dragging one end, yet the image looses it’s crispness.

Sorry for the long winded question. I’m just so frustrated about this and can’t find any documentation on what to do. So to summarize why would a 1920 x 1080 image imported into a project with those same setting come in 4 times the size of the menu canvas? Something doesn’t add up!

Let me know what you think!

    Thanks 🙂
