    The same here.
    I’ve been trying to find a workaround for that, but for now (no more time with the project) I have to do with the Gradient Wipe Effect (from VideoEffects->Transition->GradientWipe, tutorials can be found on that), where I can create a wipe pattern of my own and have some more control over the fade. But then I have to create the wipe with keyframes for every crossfade, timetaking..

    But still trying to understand how to make this simple transition work, the above is too much work for everyday cutting…

    Yes, that’s what’s happening I think. I just tested that. A stupid thing to happen. So you must press Stop before closing the capture window in order not to lose the last clip.

    I’m using Premiere CS5.5.
