So if I connect a reference monitor to my mac, the interlaced clip will look good if the monitor supports interlaced format?

hi Rafael, thanks for your answer!
Hopefully I am starting to understand this a bit now.
Does de-interlacing a clip decrease the quality?

For which delivery formats are interlaced respevtive progressive recommended?

when I watch clips filmed with a Canon EOS 5D I dont get the interlacing artifact problems.
Is it because it is compressed with H.264 whom is not a interlaced format?
(The EX1 clip was compressed with XDCAM EX 1080i50)

    regards
    Lars
