That’s how it always works. Rotate in the effects panel rotates that single item. You can create a new sequence with a new aspect ratio but there is no way to change the aspect ratio of a sequence with an effect.

Best way to do that, IMO, is using a Wiggle expression in After Effects.

The suggestions here might be the problem but. . . .

I had a similar behavior that ended up being caused by the two audio channels being 180 degrees out of phase. On computers that mixed the two stereo channels into a single mono channel the audio disappeared.

I just un-installed and re-installed Encore 1.5 and updated to 1.5.1. It did *not* fix the problem.
