    Shane –

I remember that several years/versions ago PPro Project Manager did not have the ability to trim master clips if they were long-GOP media. Project Management would work but those clips would remain full length. I watch in the new feature announcements for that limitation to be fixed and have never seen it.

OP – Good question! I’ve been wondering the same thing.

One way to show what portions of clips have been used in your edit is to splice to the tail of the sequence all the original footage. Then turn on (under the timeline wrench icon) “Show duplicate frame markers.” Color lines will appear on the clips where duplicated.

Actually there’s another way that you may like better. In the track panel of the timeline right-click and add an Audio Submix Track. Then in the Audio Track Mixer panel near the top, where each track says Master, re-route each track to the new submix 1 track. Leave the submix track routed to master. Voila.

Your correct, there is one last step. At the bottom of the Audio Meters window, there are stereo speaker icons. Turn them on for each pair of tracks that you want to monitor. If it’s not happening, right click on the meters and confirm that Monitor Stereo Pairs is selected.

Your terminology is good and your description is clear. However I cannot replicate that behavior at least not in the current Premiere CC 2015 (9.0.2). When I adjust values in the Motion Tab they adjust in increments of 1 and do not snap to the starting value or to edges of other layers.

Snapping works in the timeline and is turned on and off with the magnet icon or with the S key unless you’ve customized that. But that’s not what you are asking about.

The missing piece of info maybe that the RJ-45 patch cables need to be crossover cables which are wired differently than straight through. You’ll find the info here:

Saving on quit with dialog box is working correctly here:
    Mac OSX 10.10.4, PPro 9.01

Get the free plug-in called “Simple Mask” from creativeimpatience.com. It does exactly what you want to do, easy peasey.

Several others there are equally handy.
