Hi Alec,
We are in the process of releasing a new Macintosh application designed to work with Encore to add additional functionality.
https://www.rivergatesoftware.com/
The new features include true emulated playback with command execution tracing, and command editing to add scriptability, We are also working on templates that will demonstrate the best features of multi-page Encore menus.
We believe BluStreak Tracer PM, the level without the ability to create a replication master, can serve as a low-cost add on which will take advantage of the strengths of Encore integration with Photoshop menu creation and easy encoding.

This is definitely a data transfer issue – BluStreak always creates the correct content hash table. Did you read our article about file systems?
https://blustreak.dvdafteredit.com/folders-and-file-systems
What method and media did you use to transfer the data to the replication facility?

March 15, 2011 at 9:34 pm in reply to: trouble Installing the LG Blu-Ray Rewriter for Power MacThat’s very odd that System Profiler sees it but DVD Studio Pro and the Disk Utility program do not. I just tried DVDSP on my Mac Pro and it sees my internal BD burner. And I have an external burner that I’ve used on several computers, sometimes with the USB connection. (It also has Firewire and eSata). And I’ve seen no difference in that regard between DVDSP, Toast, Encore, and our own burning software.
One thing that threw me off on your original post is that I assumed you were trying to burn a Blu-ray disc, otherwise why did you buy a Blu-ray burner?
Anyway if you don’t have Toast and want to try other software, you can download our free burner here:
https://blustreak.dvdafteredit.com/blustreak-burner
But it only burns Blu=ray folders, not DVD. However you will find out if it sees your burner if you try the Erase function.

It just happens that Taiyo Yuden is the “other” good brand besides Verbatim. Memorex is the worst.

Also DVD -R DL will not honor any layer break you have chosen, it doesn’t understand them.

March 15, 2011 at 4:59 am in reply to: trouble Installing the LG Blu-Ray Rewriter for Power MacYou have left out the most important information. How did you install it in your Mac Pro?
The early Mac Pro models have IDE slots, if I read your model correctly, and the current Blu-ray burners are all SATA. So it isn’t connected to the computer unless you used an external enclosure or use one of the extra Sata connectors on the mother board.
It’s not an Apple and probably not an LG problem.
You can find all of this information on the Other World Computing web site, or call them.

March 12, 2011 at 7:30 pm in reply to: Blu-ray Error: “waste of your time error (horrible product %!!)BluStreak Premaster was and is a very large development effort, and it is built on the Apple Cocoa Frameworks which do not exist in Windows. And sales have been disappointing because Encore is such an unreliable product. So no, we have no intention of doing a WIndows version.

Hi Thomas,
Adobe Encore has not made any distinction between DVD and Blu-ray when it comes to spec limitations, so everything in Encore is “pinned” to the DVD limitations. And they have also done a poor job of implementing them, many things that work in Encore for DVD do not work for Blu-ray.

February 6, 2011 at 2:18 am in reply to: Save and Build’s Save locks Encore with externalJust a guess, but USB is not as reliable on catching its errors as Firewire and Sata. I would try a different drive.
