    Hey Tom

So after much reading I can see the problem, but can’t figure out how to fix. Got all the settings and destination stuff right, but when I click the “submit” button, a dialog box comes up with the right “name” for the batch, but the second box/pop-up menu should say “this computer” and also have the name of my “quick cluster” in the pop-up menu, but it has nothing – it’s empty. I click on it and nothing happens. It doesn’t know where to go to process the batch. The Apple Qmaster is all set up. Any ideas?

Reinstalled Compressor, same error – Unable to submit to queue – please restart computer or verify your Compressor installation is correct.

Have used Compressor to tried to convert to HDV 720p30, AIC, Apple ProRes. Each time: Have settings and destinantion set. Looks good in Preview window. Says: 1 job, 1 target / never submitted. Press sumbit, submit. Get message: Unable to submit to queue – please restart computer or verify your Compressor installation is correct. Have restarted several times. How does one “verify your compressor installation is correct? -reinstall? I’m afraid to ask, because I just bought four HD cameras that are giving me these MP4 video/audio files I want to edit, but is it possible that Compressor can convert to MP4, but not from MP4 to something FCP compatable?

In Compressor. Reading, reading – what is the best file type (settings) for me to convert my MP4s to for FCP that will keep the files in HD?

Where can I find this “compressor” that will do the conversion? Who makes it?

How & where can I do correct codec conversion?

Yes, files are stored on internal drive.

I don’t know what sequence settings you are asking about, or referring to.
