I crashed after about 30 min. on Mac Pro with 5770 – haven’t tried on the PC yet.

Breakout window would be nice – customizable/saveable workspaces are long overdue

Imagine Final Cut 8… it’s easy if you try…. Avid selling extra vapor… Adobe selling blue sky…

Always love the “I don’t trust Apple anymore excuse” as the Editor launches Premiere on his trusty ole Mac Pro lol.

Can’t wait to read the article. Dividing the show into 6 reels was a good move, I always work in reels when cutting a feature – good to hear FCPX worked out for you. I’ll be shooting my next feature this fall and will using a similar workflow and leaning toward FCPX and ProRES.

Not saying what anyone should do – just saying I personally would not work with a sound guy who is requiring me to bend to his laziness and refusal to update his systems.

But that’s me, I’m always the first one to update anything the instant it’s available – hardware, software whatever – and yes I get burned sometimes but being an early adopter is in my DNA sadly…

So would he retire if you tell him you will only send .aaf’s? I’ll bet he’d update pretty quickly if he was going to lose some work – I certainly would never let an outside house dictate my workflow no matter how good they are.

There is a send to Speedgrade command but it took quite a long time for a simple 3 clip test. Not sure how it would work with an actual edited reel.
