Because the image displayed through SDI isn’t part of the GUI, it’s the video output.
Just think about it, you don’t see your mouse pointer on it:)

    Chris,

thank you so much, this is exactly what I needed. The unit arrived today, so I downloaded the dvd, and started to break-in process. In a few days I hope to see other footage than RGB stills:)

    Thanks!

The only email I found was your Tangent email below, and we just responded to that. You can’t have both two versions on the same machine at the same time – it’s not supported and not recommended.
Thanks, I’ve also sent another one back in December about the Prores playback problem. But now I understand that it is better to have only V9 on a machine.

Please make sure you are not using the “Optimized monitoring” in the “Video monitoring” section. Render cache is not supported in video range mode when using this option currently. We hope to support this in the future, but for the moment, you will have to switch off your optimized video monitoring option.
Thanks I didn’t know this, I’ll use it this way from now on

What is your CPU configuration of your Mac Pro4,1. Do you still see this issue with the 9.1.1 update. I suspect the GT120 card could be the bottleneck. What if you remove that, and only use for your 570.
2×2.26 is the CPU config. Anyway yes, the GT120 could be the problem, even though Davinci8 was running fine with it. If I use only the GTX570, it runs just fine.

    Thanks for the replies.

did you tried playing it back with “track mode’ selected?

I have the same issue: https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/277/22659

No solution so far other than using Davinci 8 for Prores works…

    and this:

still exists for me when upgraded to 9.1 🙁

One makes Prores grading almost impossible, other one makes r3d with render cache almost unwatchable.
Anyway, thanks for the update, I’ll figure out a solution for my problems.

    same here.
also sometimes the first frame is displayed without correction.

I wish I’ve started this R3D project in Davinci 8….

January 9, 2013 at 1:00 pm in reply to: Mxf files won’t show up in media pool

I had an issue like this. My project contained Canon C300, and 5D files. Even though it was conformed to DNxHD, Resolve still didn’t see the files from one camera.
Was you project exported on a PC?

  • Jake,

were you able to solve this?

    thanks

January 5, 2013 at 4:36 pm in reply to: How to start tracking?

simply go to interactive mode, and select his body, add trackpoints.
This will track the movement of his body, and apply it to the mask on his face.

January 3, 2013 at 7:39 pm in reply to: 16 disk RAID – what kind of controller?

Thanks for the fast reply Alex.
It’s simply an enclosure only, without any RAID capability, so I’ll look into SSF-8087 to SFF-8088 adapters (didn’t know they exist)

    Thank you!
