I agree. I wouldn’t normally but the circumstances of my current project make it much more efficient to do so. Regardless, theses features should work in Compressor. How frustrating.

I’ve tried audio fades from 1 sec to 5 seconds. No luck. Interestingly, it doesn’t fail immediately as I watch it process in the history palette. I take it you haven’t experienced this?

    Chris,

    You mentioned –

“Your client won’t be able to play that DVCPRO-HD file unless they have final cut pro installed.”

They would be using a PC so I’d need to output an HD file from FCP that would be compatible with QT or another media player for winXP/Vista.

    Recommendations?

    Thanks

I’ll try making a DVDR. Sounds like this method is not compatible with all HD-DVD players however.

This may sound like a novice question, but how are people getting their HD content from FCS2 to HDTVs if they aren’t going through a broadcast channel? What am I missing? I don’t want to connect an HD Deck to an HDTV.

Someone else suggested a PS3 via the USB input.

Thanks Dave. Those specs produced an image that looks comparable. Is this file played through QT on a CPU monitor technically the same viewing experience as on an HDTV?

Curious about the DVCPRO HD 720 60p. I found the “DVCPRO HD – 720p30” in easy setup. Interestingly, it defaults to Playback Output Video as “DVCPRO HD 720 60p.” I always thought that 720p used 30fps?

    Thanks again.
