Where is preferences and where in preferences do you make that choice?

Yes same monitor in each case.. the quick time displays it more
accurately to how I saw it originally at the color correction labs. -
I directed the film so I’m not the most technically savy, I don’t own a copy of After Effects.. this doesn’t have to do with the way it looks exported. I’m saying in adobe while I’m editing it looks darken when imported not exported. but when exported it does maintain the darkened look… also interestingly enough, before the video is rendered it displays its original colors.

dnxhd 175 was the codec and then… rec709 was the color space.
