    Yep checked that too.

Dropped it off at the Sony service center this afternoon.

Thanks for the feedback Michael and Marvin.

Auto\manual focus slider is in the Manual position. Ring pulled back. Is there another auto setting I’m missing?

Under ‘Maintenance’ you’ll see “Auto FB Adjust.”

I removed and reinstalled the lense and did the FB adjust twice per the Vortex field manual. Is there another flange adjustment on my EX3?

I should be able to take a subject in and out of focus at 2 to 10 feet away when in full manual right?

    Thanks Ron.

Ya I thought about that but even when I’m 10, 5 or even 2 feet away from the subject turning the focus ring has no effect on focus. In fact it seems to be auto focussing.

I should be able to take a subject in and out of focus at mid to close range when in full manual right?

    Thanks Stephen,

I’m doing indi films. I want to most stable platform possible. I’m just wondering if I would benefit by going with the Heavy duty legs given the eventual weight of my payload.

    75MM bowl 20 pound limit.

Ok for EX3 with additional accessories like Letus adapter, Matte box, etc?

Given my eventual weight requirements am I ok with a 75mm bowl or do I need a 100 mm bowl?

I’m looking at the Millers and Sachtler models on the B & H site. Do you think 20 pound capacity is sufficient or do I need more given that I will most likely be adding multiple accessories to my setup.

Thanks for the feedback Craig. My budget is pretty flexible so I will spend what I need to in order to get decent quality. Would you recommend any others?

    Thanks Michael,

Low price is of course important but good after purchase support is also very important to me.

    Thanks,

    Kyle
