Just a little update: it seems these beeps are to the beat of the music. That makes me wonder if one of the dialogue channels is somehow picking up information from the music channels.
And the other funny thing is, these beeps are NOT stereo. They’re mono. Sometimes they appear on channel 1, sometimes they appear on channel 2.

April 7, 2015 at 4:57 am in reply to: Pulldown issue & duplicate frames with old SD footageThanks again Shane. In researching how to use Compressor to remove pulldown, I encountered the following link:

Worked like a charm.

Prores 422 (HQ) for both. And yes, the subtitles were added inside Final Cut

Thanks again man! Yeah, I’ve never messed around with Final Cut X before so I might just stick with 7 for now. But I definitely would like to experiment so I know better next time.

Shane,
thank you so much for this. I have a couple questions for you to elaborate on if you would.
I’ve got 8 audio tracks and only 1 track of video. Are you saying to drag the timeline (sequence) from the browser into the viewer? And what exactly do you mean by OVERWRITE WITH SEQUENCE CONTENT and INSERT WITH SEQUENCE CONTENT? I definitely don’t want to mess around with nesting… I’ve heard bad things from you and others.
I guess I’m just asking you to explain (in greater detail) the two methods you mentioned earlier today.
Thank you so much!

Thanks guys! This is all really helpful information.
So it sounds like Final Cut X will take care of a lot of problems… Sandeep you’re saying that I’d be able to load in 10 tracks of audio and be able to make them all into Synchronized Clip? Does it appear as one stereo pair on the timeline but it really contains all the audio data?

So basically this method means I’ll have to keep all the media synced on the timeline and refer back to it to grab new takes?
Let me rephrase:
Normally when I edit I refer to media in the bins, double click, and find what I want in the viewer window. Then I drag it down to the timeline. But since I have so much audio synced up, I won’t be able to put them back into bins. I’ll have to keep it all on the timeline.
Is this correct? Or is there still a simpler way to do this?

Thank you for this tip – it absolutely works for what I need to do!
