Just wanted to say thanks for you help. As soon as you mentioned ‘collapse transformations’ alarms went off in my head. I think it was one of those things I brushed over in the manual which didn’t stick.

Sorry for the confusion. I’ve actually been through this tutorial at length, that was the point of the post. I haven’t been able to figure this out for myself, in my own comps or by trying to recreate this one. That’s why I was putting it to the more experienced.
