January 15, 2012 at 4:45 pm in reply to: PLEASE HELP- Music video Greenscreen Backgrounds. Thanks Guys I know it was a little late, I had a storyboard and POA but as a director you usually have a special effects supervisor to liaise with who handles all that. Mine dropped out so you cant blame me really for wanting to ask what other people have done in the past in terms of CG. its a learning experience, many years on my client was very happy and I had some great CG elements & they got their work broadcast.
I really appreciate the aid (stupidly cant use the worked h.e.l.p due to forum settings) thanks guys! K

March 17, 2011 at 3:18 pm in reply to: Final Cut & After effects integrated together??Thanks Jon, unfortunately still being a student undone have that money, I guess I’ll havento give it a miss and do it manually a real shame, I was hopeing after getting all that software there would not be another expense for something that seems reasonably simple and nessecary as part of editing. I do hope there are other ways too, many thanks.

February 24, 2010 at 9:56 pm in reply to: PLEASE HELP- Music video Greenscreen Backgrounds.Ok then, yes, well i know you may not like this sort of music iam produceing for, but hey its a client and they pay the bills…
Ok, so heres an one I made earlier, im not really supposed to show you as its a draft:- https://www.youtube.com/watch_private?v=bbAx1WqM7Ls&sharing_token=f-bEDqH3oZV-iMaeh4eHCQ
(you may have to sign into youtube)
The track iam produceing for i want to have waveforms and sound bars movieing in the background on whitescreen… a very simple black on white background.. You can see some example greenscreen shots i have done in that video, the genre i guess you could classify it as hip hop.. It is a basic project..

February 22, 2010 at 12:34 am in reply to: HELP PLEASE! Export to Tape for SD TV broadcast… Sony VegasGreat stuff, thanks a lot.. the thing is the origional footage was in HD and my laptop captured it as .m2t files… I know the quality is being knocked down to SD but that does not matter to me as it is SD broadcast.
I guess i will try out the lower feild first method you mentioned.. im not sure i noted and “Animation” option my my version of Sony Vegas, which seemed strange to me… iam useing Vegas 8…
If i do not have an animation option i shall try Dvpro like was previously suggested..
Thanks a lot for your help i really appreciate it..

February 21, 2010 at 12:26 pm in reply to: HELP PLEASE! Export to Tape for SD TV broadcast… Sony VegasI see, but i thought Mpeg4 formats were only really good for viewing on portable devices, the quality will be very bad on broadcast.
I was thinking to export from vegas as a uncompressed AVI with a PAL DV template and then import this into Final cut in order to use the tape deck for printing…
I ddnt think our Final Cut Pro at uni liked .AVI formats as it was windows… Do you know maybe if there could be any other PC to MAC formats templates i could use or customise to ensure that this process runs smoothly? My main concern is loss of quality…
Many Thanks
K
