jaap- you were right on OxED. I changed a couple of letters to mp2v and the clips played fine.Thanks

I am totally updated in OSX and Quicktime. I tried Streamclip, Perian,Mpeg2-Playback QT, VLC and DiVX. I have read all the google links that I could so CC was my last resort. I am at a loss a this point.
