Yes and no. My files were damaged and I tried the following methods to get them fixed:
– Organize P2; did not help
– Repair files/disk function; did not help
– Transfer all the files and folders from the disk to you local hard drive and then select that folder in FCP to log and transfer; this did help with some files, but not all.

I ended up with still some corrupted files. I formatted my drive and decided to stick to a strict routine every time I would use my Firestore. It does work great, by the way, for everyone who’s pulling it down. I’ve recorded many, many hours of video, ranging from Holland, to Egypt, and Suriname, where the humidity is 80%.

What you have to do to keep you disk organized is the following:

Always format your drive after transferring your files to you Mac, or before next use!

The problem lies within the organizing ebfore transferring. If you shoot on Tuesday, press organize P2 and transfer the files to you Mac, then without formatting start shooting again on Wednesday and press again organize P2, the XML structure gets mixed up. Certainly if you do this numerous times.

The problem is that is does not always happen. That makes this problem so frustrating. But to be safe format your drive after transferring / before shooting.
