Aloha I’m new here.
I had the same problem. I was using a Microsoft Comfort Optical mouse 3000. Downloaded the software and all that as recommended here – was able to customize different buttons in mouse for Vegas but couldnt customize the scroll for the zoom.

I grabbed another mouse – Logitech M305 and now it works fine.

Using Sony Vegas 9 64bit on Windows 7.

I have a different problem now re black screens for my AVI on the timeline – will probably look for the right thread to ask the question.
