Make sure your Canon HV10 is setup for DV OUTPUT “HDV/DV”.
You can only change this setting when the firewire cable is unplugged -
Sorry, meant to say it did fix the problem. It did not have the reel on the item.

It did not. It was a DVD rip file that was imported and thus not labeled with a reel. Thanks for the help.

I understand your point of view and I will get it repaired soon. I’m worried that as soon as I send it in to be repaired I will get a gig I can’t turn down. For a beginner such as myself, 350 is a sizable chunk of cash and I want to explore every option.

I’m afraid that I am a little lost. I’ve googled impedance and I think I get the gist of it. My headphones are HD280s which have and input impedance of 64 ohms. I can’t figure out what my HVX200 outputs. I should get this repaired soon enough.

Sounds like my problem. Do you think I could ingest using premiere for now because I can’t upgrade with my version nor have money for Studio 3

Thanks for the help. Both worked fairly well but they kind of came out pretty ugly. Going to have to tweak them a lot but thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I was close but would have missed it otherwise.
