Did turning off the thumbnails have any impact on you results?

I did apply the update as well…didn’t help.

Yes, but mine has been just related to opening the project. However, it might effect your project if you have a lot of thumbnails on clips that need to be redrawn as you change track sizes and navigate the timeline…

Try turning off any kind of thumbnails on the clips that are on the timeline (if you have them on). I just discovered that if PPRO has to draw thumbnails when I open a particular project the canvas will show black and hang the program. Turning the thumbnails off or reducing the track size has removed the problem. Let me know if that helps.

I have been trying to figure out what triggers it on my system. I have had to revert to PPRO CC (2013) to get any work done. I won’t use 2014 until an update….

By chance are you using the warp stabilizer effect at all? I can get it to happen a lot using that effect.

Windows Users: We’re aware of a bug in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 with Magic Bullet Looks causing a hang when opening saved projects and trying to resume editing. What version of PPRO are you using? Do you have any plugins applied?

I have had similar problems using Magic Bullet Looks…here is a video that illustrates the issue. Is your problem similar?

Any plugins being used on the project? Just curious, I have a similar issue that seems related to a specific plugin.
