Check Panasonic’s website, they have a free program that will convert the avchd footage to DVCPRO HD.

If you go to Blackmagic’s website, you can download their codecs for free and one of them is YUV 422 (8 bit and 10 bit)

No subclips in 2.0 was the reason that I returned it to Adobe. I am glad that they got it right in CS3.

Subclips do not work right in 2.0. The only way that subclips work is if the subclip is video only. The audio component of the subclips causes a large delay in playback. The only way around it is to make a new instance of the clip in the project window. Like Steven stated, the problems has been fixed in CS3.

I would wait until the middle of this year if you are not in too much of a hurry. The next version of premiere will be coming out around then.

Thank you for all the help, I am finally getting something that I like. I just have one more question. What is the best way to dampen the rotation of the ball? The end of the rope is moving is a way that makes the ball jitter in some spots. I would like the ball to just tilt a little in the direction of the rope. Thank you for all of your help.

Thank you for the reply. I tried using cloth last night and it seemed to work fairly well. I’m at a loss though on how to connect the sphere to the rope using xpresso. How do I set up xpresso so the sphere’s location is connected to the end of the rope? Thank you.
