    Hi there …

I would like to export an HD AE comp to a Quicktime YUV 422 codec movie. But YUV 422 is not available on the list of my Output Module Settings.

    What can I do?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards from good old Germany.

If the codec is not on your system, in Quicktime, you cannot render to it.
The codec might only be installed with apps such as Final Cut pro.

Even so, in versions of AE before CS3, AE could not access some QT codecs even though they are on your system.

You might have to render to the Animation codec, which many editors realize they have to accept from us graphics folks. 🙂 Then the editor converts it to YUV.

If you go to Blackmagic’s website, you can download their codecs for free and one of them is YUV 422 (8 bit and 10 bit)
