    Ok, I figured it out!!

    It wasn’t letting me freeze fram b/c the Quicktime I was trying to pull a frame from was reversed. I hit command-J, unchecked reverse, and WaLA! It worked.

    It you’re reading this, just unreverse the clip, shift-N to get the frame, then re-reverse it and it should be good to go from there.

    Ok Ive been messing with this more and have made some discoveries, no solution though.

    The freeze frame works fine at other points on the timeline. I’ll move the playhead over another clip/different place and hit shift-N and it works fine. Its only when its over this one specific graphic(QT exported from a motion graphic) that there is a problem.

    Could it be related to the QT I’m using? I’ve tried other similar QT graphics in the program and it work fine.

    I just tried trashing the preferences and it didnt work
