[Tim Wilson] “And we’re going to be hearing for years and years about how this is the greenest office building ever. Just not for anyone who lives near it.
Not specifically an anti-Apple dig (not like they’re the only company blowing community-altering craters in the area), but I wonder what they might have come up with if they’d tried harder to “think different” rather than “let’s make it really big as long as it’s energy efficient.””
Sums it up well, Tim. I feel a lot of love for Apple in many ways (as a former contractor and one with a lot of friends that work there) but think they have fallen short in being a better neighbor to the surrounding area.
They could have made a large public area or park, flush with its green tech, a showcase for all. Pruneridge Ave. is only a 2 lane road leading from a major expressway. It’s going to be a major choke point getting in and out of a place my parents have called home for decades. Who knows the impact of that huge infrastructure piece going in a stone’s throw from where I rode bikes, played catch, and walked to high school (All Hail the Cupertino HS Pioneers!)
A missed opportunity, to be sure.

Hi Melissa,
You do not need to transcode these files.First, make sure the entire SD card is copied to your HD. Then, ingest the files via the Media Browser not File > Import or by dragging the files in from Finder/Explorer.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,

Hi Kevin,
[Kevin McDonald] “I’ve read that I need to change the Start Time in the panel drop down menu, but that menu no longer exists as everything has been moved to the “wrench” drop down menu. Well there is no “Start time” selection and I’m stumped. “
Panel menus have moved next to the tab name. They appear as 3 small lines. Click there for the option.
Thanks,

[Eric Santiago] “HUGE it is…https://vimeo.com/131334254“
Nice video, Eric.
The downside of the giant new HQ is that life in Cupertino and Santa Clara will be changed forever. Allow me to not be the biggest fan of this colossus.
I grew up a quarter mile from the build site. It was a small, friendly neighborhood called “Westwood Oaks” (actually in Santa Clara), which will now be a major thoroughfare to and from this behemoth. My friends and former neighbors will be subject to all the strain that goes with it.
It’s not going to be to fun moving around the area any more with traffic, crowding, and pollution significantly increasing due to the volume of autos and trucks moving down Pruneridge Ave. (meant originally for suburban use.). Though “energy efficient,” additional sound, light, and other pollution is bound to happen, along with other unpleasantries emanating from the site. Any benefits for surrounding residents due to the build site? Nope. No promises there. The neighborhood will be convenient for Apple workers but not for anyone else.
I never thought my parents would move, but they have finally said, “enough is enough.” They just sold our family home and are moving on. Sad.
The end of an era.
Kevin

Hi Rob,
You should have the same ability to recapture highlights with Lumetri in Premiere Pro as you do with ACR in After Effects. Since you cannot without degrading the rest of the image, please file a bug report: https://adobe.ly/ReportBugIf you could also upload a sample file of the image you showed online, I can hand that off to engineering.
Thanks,

Hi Brian,
The tracks become unpatched in certain circumstances, leading to his confusion, and that seems like a bug. It leads to a lot of customers having the identical problems. We even have a FAQ for this.Let me investigate further as to why this happens.
Thanks,

Hi David,
I press the ESC key after creating each line of text to have that kind of capability. Does that work for you? Thanks,

June 25, 2015 at 8:16 pm in reply to: Audio Clip Mixer – All tracks default back to Left ChannelHi,
Is this an updated project or a new CC 2015 project? If it’s updated, does a fresh project with new multicam sequences behave the same way? Thanks,

Hello Scott,
[Scott Witthaus] Premiere CC 2014 has decided to crash EVERY time I try to launch it.
Sorry to hear that.
[Scott Witthaus] Reports sent to Adobe of course come back with no solution, not that I expect any.
Were you filing feedback here?: https://adobe.ly/feature_request
We don’t respond to every bug report or feature request, but we do read them all. Sometimes we will reach out, though. My suggestion is to chat with support here: https://bit.ly/adobe-support
Click the blue button and get a chat going. Ask the chat agent to connect you with an agent from “the video queue.” These are our agents that are trained in troubleshooting Adobe digital video products. The video queue is open M-F 7AM-7PM PST. Please make sure that you are speaking with a video queue agent. I am responsible for the quality of service you get from these agents. Feel free to contact me if you don’t get your problem solved.
[Scott Witthaus] “I have trashed all vestiges of CS6, trashed prefs, repaired permissions, etc. Only Premiere does not launch. AE, Ps and Ai launch fine. Thoughts?”
CS6? I thought you were having trouble with CC 2014. Which version are you actually using?
[Scott Witthaus] oh, and I post here cause there seems to be more Adobe presence on this, supposedly, X forum than there is on the Premiere forums.
While we at Adobe would prefer to help you in a section of the Cow (or our forums) where there are other Premiere Pro experts who can help you, we are also willing to meet our customers wherever they need help.
Thanks,
Kevin
