    yes I have, I’ve then compared it to the source footage in AE and it’s lacking .

    True but not really relevant.

    In the previous version of FCP when DVCPro HD was scaled to 100% in a D1 sequence, I had 234 more pixels vertically ( 720-486). Now in FCP I have 720 filling a 486 space and any enlargement of the image through scale degrades the picture.

    Import the same footage into AE and put it in a D1 sequence at 67% scale & I’ve filled the frame. So the resolution is there in the material, but FCP is treating it oddly and diminishing the quality considerably.

    “always scale clips to sequence size” is also off, as well as NEVER Auto Conform sequence.
    It’s only doing it to DVC Pro Material, Graphics and other HD formats work appropriately.

    Other thoughts?
