That sounds like a different problem. My tapes weren’t playing any audio at all. I ended up renting some other camera just to capture, I think the XL-2’s heads were “misaligned” or something.

Another thing I’ve noticed is my HDV clips, which are 1920X1080, become 1280X1080 when I import them to Final Cut. I don’t like that.

Just on my computer monitor, I don’t have anything else set up. It’s weird, I scale an HDV clip only 70% and it looks like Mario Brothers the quality is so bad. The regular DV stuff, which is at 100%, looks better.
