  • Appreciate your thoughts – with Frame Control ON the Text looks good, with it off they look terrible…but you’re right re: deinterlacing…can’t find a way to turn that off if Frame C is ON…

    Thanks

Ah, didn’t know I should render out of Motion…does that make them QT files, then just bring those into FCP?

Actually Smooth cam did a terrible (and very lengthy) job on the tests I ran, MOTION did much better re: smoothing out the wobbles…I simply right click on the clip in the FCP timeline, send to MOTION, it opens just that clip with its proper length then I save and it appears in FCP timeline…but maybe I should make them movs first, yes?

    Thanks

  • Thanks for the help…yeah the odd size is I guess the 16 x 9 bit, I bring it into Compressor using the SD DVD 720 x 480, then it makes it into that odd size.

Maybe your thought on HD tape would work best…

    Thanks

So are you saying just make my timeline HDV, not Pro Res, set the render to Pro Res and it’ll look good?

Slight update: I also have a few 1280x x720 and XDcam shots in the timeline…should I still set seq to HDV or keep Pro Res?

    Thanks
