According to these pix, mine would appear to be of the red stripe variety, 16 GB though. Hmmm… They’ve been trouble-free so far. Have you heard, do the bad ones seem to be bad out of the box, or can they ‘go’ bad down the road?

Mine have no stripes. But to be sure if I purchase more ($40 for 16 GB is a good deal for a rock-solid card), is the stripe on the body of the card above the label? If someone could post a pic of the suspect card, that would be a nice resource for SDHC purchasers here…

    Craig,

“Now iffy … Transcend cards” I hadn’t heard anything about these cards being flaky. Are they re-engineering them like Sandisk apparently did? I have 4 16GB Transcend cards and they’ve been flawless through five projects…

    Tom,

Thanks for the citation. I forgot one important word in my email. It was a ‘user’ review on CNET, not an editorial review. I will continue to look closely at the HF100. Thanks again for your response and info, Tom.

Sorry, but requesting a bit of clarity:

You’re saying the review I cited is incorrect, and AVCHD as implemented with the Canon HF100 has a functional workflow in FCP(S)?

Or are you referring to some other information?

Have you specifically used the HF100 in Final Cut? Thanks, Tom…
