OK – here’s what seems to be happening. It IS going to the last view, with the exception that it is docking my scopes window into my preview window – right on top – even though it is definitely NOT docked in my view, or when I leave Vegas.

I tried shifting it slightly around – little more space between the windows, but it is still happening. You can actually see it when Vegas open – it is “right” for a split second, then the scopes window docks itself into the preview window. Any ideas?

I don’t have an answer for you, but I’d like to know the same thing. I rendered with those setting and got a REALLY nice looking file.

Thought I’d give an update on this one. I tired several things, but lowering my RAM for Dynamic RAM Preview seems to really have helped a lot. I changed it from 2048 down to 1500. I didn’t think 2048 would be a problem with 16G total, but either it’s a big coincidence or that made the difference. It has not totally cured the problem, but far fewer crashes.

Ughhhhh …. I use dynamic RAM preview all the time … not sure how I’d live without it …..

  • Thank you for the reply – but how do I get a “transparency on the timeline” with my blue color? Can’t I just set that blue as the alpha channel somewhere ?

AHHHHH! OK! Got It – something you said about the transparency. I guess I thought it worked different. It is making whatever is transparent the alpha channel. For whatever reason, I had expected to tell it at render time to use “such and such color” as the alpha channel … got it working now – thanks!

BTW – it works fine with quick time animation.
