I have a Primera Bravo I DVD/CD duplicator and printer and find it brilliant. I do short runs of DVD’s and CDs as part of my video and music business. Recently duplicated and printed 200 CDs in a day (copy and verify every time), loading up 25 at a time (max without the optional extra feature).
I could not imagine how awkward this would be feeding 1 at a time through my Epson R800 printer. Just load, run and forget.
My CD and DVD’s now look much more professional than using labels.
Next is to consider if additional cost of laminating is worth it. No-one has yet complained of ink running but this is always possible with inkjet printed discs.
Only concern I have, but may be same as all other makes of duplicator printers, is the single source cartridges which appear expensive against equivalent looking HP ones.

  • I have changed the colour management to use Photoshop and found a profile in photoshop for the R800. Using this setting, the colours appear much closer to those when using CS version, even though the CS setup is to use the printer for colour management.

So maybe the fix is to use Photoshop colour management with the inbuilt R800 profile.
