  • No there doesn’t appear to be anyone else except you and I complaining about it which I find strange. I find it very annoying even now after having been on PP for a couple of years.

  • No my issue is really with the source panel.
There are 4 points you can skip to in the source panel if you are using FCP.
The START of the media, the IN point, the OUT point and the END of the media (as long as you’ve put in and out points in obviously)
In FCP you can use the ; & ‘ keys to jump between ALL of these points.
In PP you can only use SHIFT + I to go to the IN point, or SHIFT = O to go to the OUT point. To jump to the START or END of the media you have to use a different set of keys which is dumb.
    make sense??

  • Yeah sorry that’s exactly what I meant and yes you can use the shift I & O keys. However, in FCP I could use the ; & ‘ and when you have your fingers on jkl and then i & o for in and outs it so much easier to use the ; & ‘ with your right pinky finger, as opposed to using the shift key with i & O.
Not only that but in PP shift + I or O only takes you to the in and out points. You can’t jump back to the beginning or end of the media in the source panel using shift + I or O. If you want to jump to the beginning you need another set of keys, which is kind of dumb. Confused yet?

  • I don’t think I explained myself very well. I’m want to be able to jump backwards and forwards along edit points in the Source Panel using the ; and ‘ keys like you can do in FCP. Is there a way of doing this in PP?
