Thanks Alex: A “workable” workaround, mainly showing that the Premiere Pro Soundbooth “connection” is destined for many updates in the who knows how long future. I’ll reconsider PrPro for my editing. And I’ve always liked Audacity, and that may beat out Soundbooth for plain sound editing–to be determined.

Neither rendering on the timeline or after exporting to a HD did it. But by trying a less taxing color correction, Fast Color Correction, instead of Change to Color, there was no problem, even without rendering!!

No, Monitor is at full Res: it’s not a monitor thing, but may be a video card thing?

Well, I’m probably pushing too hard, just in the testing mode. The artifacts are about 1000x greater than in the original though, as I see none there.

    Thanks

Also a follow-up: From Premiere, how do you edit in SB, with the video showing. I can get the video, when I use SB as a standalone, but not when I go from Premiere.

I understand, and appreciate your clarification. I hadn’t noticed that you, and not Rafael, had responded. My naivate came from the fact that some products (like Adobe Photoshop) come in approximately 18 month cycles, so that one can make a good educated guess when a new one is due. Were I going to spend $1,000, I’d wait a month, for example, if a new one of whatever were coming out, especially if upgrades are costly.

Thanks Rafael: What confused me about that was that you said, “Anyway, wait. people talk about a new release.” What did you mean by that?

Rafael, or others: You alluded to the fact that you think there will be a new version of FC soon, and to hold off on getting it. Can you confirm that, and perhaps elaborate. If it’s true, when is the new version expected?

    Thanks
