    Hi Boris;
    Thanks for the reply.
    The exact name is BCC Multi Stretch Wipe TR, using the preset ‘blendRays.bcp’.
    No keyframes were used, I just dropped it on the time line.
    When it renders, the first half of the effect is normal but the 2nd half turns into a motionless circle. I have tried this on 2 different avid systems with the same result: It works fine in SD and craps out in HD. I’m using the latest versions of Avid Media Composer and Boris 5.0.

    What about the 3D glasses effect in AE? I once created a 3D box and made it tumble, used the 3D Glasses effect, put on the glasses and voila – 3D.

    I really like Soundbooth, just did a commercial with it and the effects are great but I guess what I should be using is Pro Tools with Avid. Still, that noise remover is gonna come in real handy.
    Thanks,

    Automatic Duck, baby. Worked like a charm. Problem solved.

    One day of editing services costs roughly the same as AD. One day is what it will take me to re-build the timeline. The logic escapes me. Anyway, I found someone in town who has AD and is willing to have a go at it. Editing . . . it’s all about creative problem solving!

    Automatic Duck seems to be the solution but my client (FCP owner) can’t afford it so it looks I’ll be doing it manually. I can create a txt. doc of the edl so at least I have all my timecodes. Thanks again, Grin.

    Thanks Grinner, I did try that. 276 clip entries later and it still wont work. There are three clips in the sequence that are actually from tape and they show up but the imported clips – not at all. Also tried exporting as an OMF minus the media. Whatever I try, the results are the same. One thing I noticed is that some clips are drop and some non-drop. I don’t think FCP allows user to change that.
