If you have Sprint available in your area, one of our leaders had a broadband modem a couple of years ago. It was a device similar to mine that connected his cell phone to his laptop.

I have one of the cards from Verizon. It’s $70/month plus the cost of the card– which is kind of high, but it’s unlimited minutes. It works quite well if you’re in an area that has broadband signal, but if you’re not, you’ll be surfing at modem speeds.

I used mine on the trip to NAB in Vegas this year. It was totally cool to be sitting in the car web surfing just outside of Bakersfield. Speed varied on the rest of the trip and while in the convention center, speed was pretty slow, but I think it was all the cell phone usage.

Verizon also has a gadget that connects a cell phone to your computer — the phone then can be used for both cell service and as a modem. I had one of those a few years back. It didn’t really work very well. When I did get service, it was very slow.

[JoeyTheDog] “It would be good if you took a look at the paragraph that recommends the project file.

Are you referring to this paragraph?

the way to make these effects work in harmony is to remove the Basic 3D effect, precomp the layer, then apply the Basic 3D and tilt back to -45 degrees. Now you have a pseudo-3D layer that, if you use masks carefully, you can wrap around another layer to give your animations a little more depth. If you have any questions, just take a look at the example project.

If so, he says if you use masks carefully, you can make the text wrap around an object. He doesn’t actually take you through the mask part.

I’ll try to look into what’s wrong with the project file. In the meantime, you might find some of the other basic tutorials more useful:

It really sounds like you need to get some of the basics down before going any further.

    [shoo2x] “dear kathlyn is not a test-thanx anyway….!!!!!!

Well, you’d be surprised at the number of students who come here as an easy way to get their test answers or essay papers written. Sorry, I misread your question. It sure looked like a test.

Looks like a test to me. You should study and find your own answers if that’s the case. You won’t learn if people just give you the answers.
