So today, the Cow archives have answered two of my questions. Thanks.

First, I had Wiggle applied to a 3d layer and I’d used an expression to tie the amplitude of the wiggle to a Null so that I could control it. Well, I didn’t want it to wiggle in three dimensions, only two. I tried a couple of things and failed, then I searched posts here and got my answer. Thanks.

Second, I was having trouble understanding some inconsistent shadow behavior – shadows being cast on one frame and then not cast on the next. I did some searching of the posts and got an idea. A few minutes later, I discovered a layer order issue that I’d let slip by that was messing with the way 2d and 3d layers were interacting and thus disabling my shadows. Thanks again.

    Now I’m happy again.
