  • Hello Neil and anyone else following this thread,

We’ve re-released the 9.6.1 drivers which should contain the fix for the Media Composer issue we were seeing. If you have the older version of the driver dated prior to the Aug 7th, please delete that and download the version that is dated August 7th from the support section of the website. Again apologies for the inconvenience and please let us know if this does not fix this particular issue for you. Thanks!

    Hello everyone,

That shouldn’t be the case and we are having the web team rectify that situation. In the meantime you can get to the Resolve configuration guide the follow ways.

    Directly: https://www.blackmagic-design.com/support/detail/register/download/?fid=23791&pid=4448&os=mac

Or by clicking on the other products DaVinci Resolve Software or Resolve Software in the product drop down list. This will take you to the next page where you can download the configuration guide without a serial number.

The configuration guides are all the same so either way will work in the interim while we get that particular page sorted.

  • Hello,

Can you tell me how the file was generated? Was it given to you? Did you capture it with our Media Express v2? Premiere? Exported from another application?

To me it sounds like it may be the method in which that particular video was encoded. Try this, do a New Project with a Blackmagic setting of PAL 8bit. Capture a clip. Then immediately drop that clip into the timeline and play it back. Does the same issue happen there? The reason I ask is because you said the files have been exported prior to being placed on the timeline in your previous post. Also if you were to use Media Express v2, capture a file and play that file back, does the same dropouts occur? And does it also do the drop out from your existing file? If it’s a Blackmagic uncompressed AVI, Media Express v2 shouldn’t have any problems playing out the file.

And also can you tell me a little more about your machine spec, audio card, motherboard, RAID, etc?

    Hello Richard,

The website works fine if you are to navigate manually to the website and to the driver of your choice.

    https://blackmagic-design.com/support/software/

That error has been seen with outdated bookmarks or antiquated search results. So please try again with the link above and let us know if you are still encountering any problems.
