Is there a viable (small/micro) business model for low budget (for respective market) multi-camera live streaming (YT, facebook) production service? I work as a dp and camera op (local 600) and I’ve witnessed a pretty big change in business and I’ve had a closet interest in streaming.

The first thing that came to mind was affluent international weddings. Then local sporting events. Could be schools, horses, auto events- stuff not covered by broadcast companies. But something a mom and pop size organization can start with.

As a full time freelancer I’m strictly B2B right now, with zero consumer work. The turnover of my clients (production companies) has been astounding these last 4 years, with so many simply going away, many people getting out of the industry all together.

My son started playing travel ice hockey. As a parent, and because of my occupation and the equipment I own, I started shooting the games single camera and posting on Youtube. The other parents are extremely appreciative, though i doubt parents would pay extra for something like this, but it did get the wheels turning in my head about working in completely different (and new to me) markets.

The new BM gear kicks the wheels turning a little harder/faster.

And yeah, I don’t have the extra money to just buy some gear to try it out- cause it’s never just that one or two pieces of hardware/software you need. And to setup multiplex cellular streaming- at the end of the day that looked to be a little bit of an expense all in.

Does anyone have a working biz in place?
