I would only do this if it was just one shot, critical to the movie, impossible to reshoot, had a maximum of five places where there were 1-3 frames missing. And it might still take days to get it right for that one shot.

You can use the position property of the rectangle to keep it in place as the y size changes. If you want to grow the rectangle up, the position expression would be (layer and path names may be different in your case):

That certainly looks terrible. I would try turning on motion blur or using the Force Motion Blur effect. That way you will multiple frames blended together for each frame which might help the situation.

I’ve recorded with it once, had to keep the battery compartment open to be able to record 45 minutes of 4K video, and the camera was flashing overheating warning towards the end regardless.

Only saw this now which is likely too late for your situation. However, I would look for those specific characters with the incorrect formatting and change the formatting (as needed). If you have a mixed bag with some words needing to be in italics and other needing to be regular, that would be a different matter.

We’ve all been there. Refreshing on Javascript and going through the AE Expression Reference will get you there in a reasonably short amount of time if you have any prior programming experience.

Don’t know what his solution was, but you can create 3D nulls at any position in the tracked footage you want and use an expression to generate 2D screen positions of the 3D nulls.

Do you have Particular or Form or other particle plugins, of are you aiming at doing this with the built-in effects?

I would imagine you can use Trapcode Shine for the rays part of a gobo effect, aligning the center of the shine effect with the light position and put if through a black layer with your gobo in white (or whatever color you are using).
