thx Jery, actually I tried something similar, I have exported to a self contained QT file and re imported over the original sequence, same thing…
it’s like the frame blending applied tothe clip is not applied to the exported tif/mov
doesn’t erally matter, I’ve been told the difference is too minute to tell any how, just bugs me ’tis all 🙂

thank you so much Roadkill – the reasoning and suggestions for Q2 are great…as with Q3…
regarding Q1 – what i mean is i’m not sure how to structure it….
Could u upload a basic buttonwhich has the button layer, selection submenu and activated submenu in there? – i have read through the text and help and have opened the button files given with encore, all don’t have an activation submenu as far as i can see……
does this make sense?

I can’t actually send u the proj file because it is for a client… what i am trying to do is something i don’t normally do, but figured i would like to try it…
if u have the time, I would really appreciate it if u tried this…
create a photoshop file and type something with 17 pt font. duplicate that layer and change the colour of the font and ensure that the text are in the exact position…
turn it in to a button and import to encore.. and tell me if the overlay is perfect….

only thing i can think of is to create seperate menus… IE
Once Upon a Time in Mexico < Default button menu 1 S.W.A.T < Default button menu 2 Kill Bill < Default button menu 3 Matrix < Default button menu 4 after once upon is played - it's end action is to goto menu 2 and so forth... hope this helps NOW if someone could tell me how to make it so the text changes colours when selected so that it is completely solid and not artifacty... heheh view my thread if u know dude :).....
