    If I’m shooting indoors should I keep the deadcat on the mic? Or remove it and just keep the foam windshield on? Does it make any difference?

    *btw, the pad switch on the rode videomic is inside the battery compartment. To change the pad, I still need to use a toothpick because the switch is really small!
    I think that’s one thing I don’t like about the Videomic.

    When you say take it out, does it mean set the pad to 0dB?
    Changing the Pad is really hard on the Videomic, that’s why I just want to put it in one level and not touch it again.

    And why does people say that the best pad to leave the videomic on is -10dB?

    *I manually adjust my volume on my camera.
