Fan FREAKING tastic! I agree with Mike Edge on how great this is! I had footage that had plenty of lighting, no gain, and was still grainy on the default “flou” scene file. Your process (and I don’t even have magic bullet) worked like a CHARM! THANK YOU!!! I put the “remove grain” effect high in my effects order, seemed to work best here before any other effects.

Nevermind! I forgot Color Finesse was included in CC. Now if I can just get “clarity”! 🙂

I have a gentleman saying that I should consider putting the SD drives in a RAID0 as well. Any reason you would recommend not doing this as well? Thanks Tim!

Ok, final question. What about the Media, Projects, Pagefile, Media Cache, Previews, and Exports? Put them all on the RAID? Or put some of them on one of the SSD drives? If so, which ones?

Awesome. So you would install the apps on the second SSD. What about My Documents and such? Any reason to take them off the boot and OS drive? Thanks Tim!

I should mention I am normally editing DVCPro50 codec as I shoot 720pn from my Panasonic Hvx 200a.

I just had an API Error that I successfullly resolved. I was changing a HD 720P commercial to a 720×480 DV/NTSC pixel aspect to try to get it to spec for a local TV station that doesn’t use HD. After trying a load of changes, I found out it was the codec they wanted me to use that was the culprit. After returning to H.264 I could again do whatever I wanted. All that to say, change the codec? Also, I read not to use any ampersands or anything in the title.
