Howdy

I know this post has been unanswered for a while but how has this card been in Premiere CC (HD7950).

I have a MP3.1 and wanting to upgrade the GFX card.

options are GTX680 or HD7950.

Any advice?

I have sent it back to the store I purchased from. If I have any trouble getting a replacement I will contact you.

I have several Rode mice and have never had an issue so hopefully this is only a minor problem…

Hi There

I am running a G5 – Dual 2.3 GHz; 8.5GB Ram, OSX 10.5.8. with a Multibridge connected via PCI express card. Final Cut Studio 2.

Hope this is enough info…

I though originally that it was because my monitor did not support 1920×1200 resolution but i then downloaded a previous version of Media Express (V2.03) that allows lower resolutions but got the same error…

I assume it means you need a Mac Pro but it does not say anywhere in the documentation that this is required???

According to the specs on apples site you may need to upgrade your computer as well as it says you need an intel mac. Can anyone confirm this?? Thanks

Thankyou both Tom and Mitch for your suggestions…. It turned out that i had some export settings incorrect in toast. I have sorted that out now thanks….

On a similar note if i may without creating another post.

Is there any downside to converting the AVCHD files to say HDV or DVCPRO HD??? When i convert to AIC i loose RT effects in FCP but if i convert to say DVCPRO HD i can retain quite a few RT effects, which is nice….. These formats are 1440×1080 whereas with AIC i can maintain the 1920×1080 of the original file… Is this a problem/issue i should worry about???

Note this is not for any sort of broadcast application but i would like to still maintain the “best” possible quality from source to finished product…

Thanks for the advice/help Bob… It ended up being a problem with the card itself…… Just to let you know the Sony monitor i have (PVM-1442QM) does have RGB inputs. May be a real dinosaur…. Thanks again for your time…

I think the problem is differnt. I have tested as you suggest in another post to just try and get colour bars on an external monitor. I have done this from the Kona Control Panel – not even in FCP yet….

When i try this the image on the external monitor (Sony PVM) is all jagged as well. So i am not even inputing any VHS source into it – just trying to get bars up from inside the Kona Control Panel… I have tried as both an RGB signal and a composite signal to the monitor from the Kona breakout cable and no luck….

Thanks for your assistance and is there anything else you could suggest???
