Thanks epontius. I will try re-building the project and select the option to manually set the layer break, and see if the following screens will tell me the size of the layers. Fortunately the project consists of 31 timelines as opposed to one long timeline so finding a good place to set the layer break should be easy.

I know Neil Wilkes has come up with a way to work this out using Gear and IFOEdit, so I suspect Adobe doesn’t provide a way to determine the size of each layer, but I’ll check out doing it that way and hopefully I’m wrong.

Hmm, you might be happier using a small 110v inverter plugged into the Gell, then use the 110 power attachment for the DVX. Then everyting is off the shelf hook up.

  • I am having a similar problem. I’ve created a project that has 3 menus and 3 timelines. The project is a continual loop. I have a menu that is set as first play that runs for 10 seconds and then goes to the first timeline, then its end action takes you to the 2nd menu, then the next timeline, etc. When I hit stop twice, remove it and then reinsert it, it seems to start playing again at random points.

Joe, if I understand your response, you’re saying you can set a timeline as first play, but in my case I want the first menu to be first play and it is set as first play. Any ideas?
