Yes, I did FINALLY figure it out.
Someone suggested capturing via Apple Pro Res which has been working fine. I couldn’t capture with HDV but it works with Apple Pro Res.

I have been trying to capture it from the original tape… from batch capture. I even set in new in and out points. I even tried to capture on the fly. NOTHING. It can’t seem to find the media.
I think there is some compression issue or some issue with FCP 6.3. Everything was working fine with 6.2. which is the only part of the equation that is different.

This is really frustrating and time is going by…. I may have to rent someone else’s set up.

ANY OTHER THOUGHTS?????

Thank you , I have tried recapturing many times, but I still get the message ” searching for media” when capturing and after capturing the message “The clip was unable to be reconnected to the newly captured media, due to the file being corrupted. Try recapturing this clip to resolve this problem”

Don’t know what else to try and I really need to get going on this project.

What can be wrong?
