Hi,
I don’t have WAV files, only the WMV that I can’t use on my mac at this point. I need to conver the WMV in a way that keeps the audio attached.

Good morning Walter,

Thanks for the idea – it worked well to just import multiple copies of my original composition. I’ll keep this in mind for next time.

However, I have created pieces before by just copying and pasting into new compositions the layers I copied from an original composition within the same project. Do you think this issue is something new with 2017? Just curious.

Hi Daniel,

Yes, 2017 has worked fine for me so far, but I think 2 things were at play here. (Keep in mind I’m a novice at AE!) My photos are huge so I”m going to scale them down. They are not raw, but jpegs that are flattened. I also reduced my preview RAM to 1/4 and that worked. Once I scale down my photos I should be able to preview at a higher resolution. My machine is a couple years old so it’s possible that even this i7 processor is just a little too weak for this apparently intense template.

Thanks for your reply. And yes, viewing at 1/2 res gives the same results. I’m sure this is a setting somewhere that I’m missing which is really what is so frustrating.

My photos are quite large (5506 x 3619), but I”ve used these templates with video and they ahve been fine so I can’t figure out what is going on with this particular template.

I’ll give those settings a shot. I did try, this morning, to import a clip into Media Encoder and it told me the file was corrupted, although I had used it in a sequence. I see what you mean, though. Just because I can import it into a timeline doesn’t mean it will export, I guess.

Hopefully my husband was able to convert them in his copy of Vegas.

Just curious, do you think my using Windows 8 could be part of the issue I’m having?

Hi Jon,
I don’t know the codec for the raw Sony files, but could probably check. (I’m a new editor by the way.) I’m trying output for YOuTube using the 1080p HD preset. I haven’t tried exporting to anything else, yet.
