  • Convert WMV files for Mac use in Premiere

Posted by Julie Allen on November 1, 2017 at 2:35 pm

    Hi,
I purchased Divx Pro to convert some WMV files to mp4 so I can use them in my Mac version of Premiere Pro 2017. However, while the video converts just fine, the audio does not convert at all. I checked and the WMV files use WMA Version 2 codecs for the audio.

Any ideas where i can either get a Divx Plug in to correct this, or another good converter I can use?

    Thanks,
    Julie Allen

Why don’t you just use the wav files and skip the conversion? Wav files work just fine in the mac version of Premiere.

    Hi,
I don’t have WAV files, only the WMV that I can’t use on my mac at this point. I need to conver the WMV in a way that keeps the audio attached.

My mistake. I misread your post. As for wmv, flipformac is the easiest solution but you’ll have to pay for it.
